365 things to do in boston franklin park zooToday is a great day to get out and take a military friend to the zoo! In honor of Veterans Day on Sunday, November 11, all Veterans will receive free admission at Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo. There is no way to truly thank the people who have protected this country, but spending time with them and showing them our uttermost appreciation is a good start! "Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo are also pleased to partner with Mahoney’s Garden Center for Trees for Troops! Mahoney’s will be setting up a live Christmas tree display with information on how to get involved with Trees for Troops from Veterans Day through December 2 at Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo." Today is also the first day of Trees for Troops. If you are interested in donating a tree, call 781-721-4691 These trees are sent to the armed forces and their families at over 60 military bases. Great Cause. And for all of you Veterans out there- THANK YOU!
