boston strongShortly after the Boston Marathon bombings, a makeshift memorial started to take shape in Back Bay.

Now, almost a year later, the Boston Public Library are displaying the array of notes, shoes and other items in the "Dear Boston" Exhibit at the McKim Exhibition Hall in Copley Square.

"Each of the objects left at the memorial, whether giant banner or tiny scrap of paper, store-bought or handmade, was a message of love and support for grieving families and a grieving city. They were hope in material form, symbolizing the human desire to help, comfort, connect, and sustain when confronted with great tragedy."

The exhibit will be open to the public until May 11th, 2014. For more information on the exhibit, please go to BPL.org.
