It's that time of year again. Although its only the beginning of November, CVS (notoriously) already has their Christmas display up and all holiday events are starting to come together.

The Ugly Sweater Run, which will be in Somerville on Sunday, November 30th, is one of the large upcoming holiday events. This event is fun and festival and also works with Toys for Tots to bring joy to children in need during the holidays.

"The run is approximately 3.1 miles long on city streets. The start line will have snow machines, reindeer games and awesome holiday music. Once you’re on the course, you’ll find holiday themed aide stations every mile – EG – Sled hills (weather permitting), Hot Chocolate aide stations, Christmas Trees lining the streets and more snow.

After the run, participants are welcome to join in the post run festivities which include awards for best real mustache and worst sweater. There will be Sam Adams and hot chocolate after the event. Make sure you bring your ID if you are 21+.

All participants should leave the donations for Toys for Tots under the large Christmas tree at the event.

Tickets for this event are $39 (registration fee may be applied). Each Ugly Sweater runner receives a custom vintage knit hat, unlimited hot chocolate, two free Winter Lagers (if you’re of age of course!) and a mustache.
