2. Free Community Classes at the Bar Method

The Bar Method in Back Bay is offering up free community classes while their instructors complete the certification process. These teachers-in-training will be pulsing and sculpting weekly at the Back Bay studio location.

These community classes are perfect for new clients interested in trying out barre workouts before committing to a membership or for preexisting members who want to squeeze an extra class in outside of their normal workout schedule.

St. Patty's Day Parade

Don't miss Boston's famous St Patrick's Day Parade in Southie this Sunday March 15. Due to massive snow banks, this years parade is a little shorter and starts at the Broadway T station on the Red Line and continues along Broadway where it ends on Farragut Road . Volunteers are clearing the snow from the route, so you should find plenty of good viewing spots along Broadway (kudos to them).  

The parade features an interesting mix of bagpipes, brass marching bands, elaborate floats, military units, dancers, historic Minutemen companies, politicians, entertainers, individual marchers, societies, and other organizations. 

Don't forget to wear your GREEN!

Trivia Night at the Milky Way Lounge

Sam Adams Brewery Tour

Head over to Jamaica Plain to take a tour of the Sam Adams Brewery.

Jim Koch, the founder and brewer of Sam Adams beers, helped to pioneer American craft beer industry through his dedication to creating the highest quality product. You'll learn all about the history of Samuel Adams brand and craft brewing process. You'll also get to sample a few beers and with over 30 styles of beer, there is surely to be a variety that you'll love. 

Tours are held about every 45 minutes Monday-Saturday beginning at 10am with special Morning Mash In tours starting at 9:40am-you have to RSVP a month in advance for these ones.

Tours are free, but a $2 donation (or more if you're feeling generous)  is encouraged, all of which go to local charities. 

Parking is tough around this area, so taking the T is recommended.

Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series!

The Boston Parks & Recreation Department has been hosting a summer fitness series where people can go and get a free workout at their favorite park! 

Choose from an array of activities, including Boot Camp, Yoga and Zumba! The classes are going on at parks all around the city, including The Brighton Commons, Franklin Park, Mission Hill Playground and Symphony Park!

Arts on the Arcade at Faneuil Hall

"Arts on the Arcade is a two-tiered program that provides free summer fun for residents and tourists alike with local visual asrits and local music performers."

There has been a variety of artists this year, including jewelers, photographers and painters. Alongside these artists have been the Fanueil Hall performers. These family friendly performers consists of musicians and street performers. The next group of performers are Township with The Blue Ribbons on Saturday, August 1st.

Boston Sports Clubs Offers Free Open House

In celebration of Boston Sports Club's 39th Anniversary, they will be having a free open houseboston sports on Wednesday, September 25th. The open house will allow non members to use their facilities all day in honor of their birthday!

Night of Stars On The Boston Common

The Boston Ballet will be having their Night of Stars event on Saturday, September 21st atboston ballet 7pm. The performance will be free and located at the Boston Commons

"This free program exhibition showcases the diverse repertoire and versatile talent that compose Boston Ballet's 50th season. The full company performs works that range from beloved classics like Florence Clerc's La Bayadère to Balanchine's contemplative Serenadeand crowd-stirring contemporary pieces like Christopher Bruce's Rooster set to the music of The Rolling Stones.  The Boston Ballet Orchestra joins the Company live on the Common."
