Posted by Hillary Waldron on Mon, Feb 10, 2014

dishcrawl"Dishcrawl, a national startup founded on the premise that communities can be brought together by good food and good company, is crawling it’s way to the North End on Tuesday, February 11th from 7-9:30pm. It’s like a pubcrawl, but more delicious!

With over 100 restaurants in the North End alone, Dishcrawl is able to introduce food lovers to different restaurants around the neighborhood that they haven’t had a chance to venture to. To make the event more exciting, the restaurants are kept a secret until two days before at which time only the first location is revealed. "

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Wed, Oct 24, 2012

365 things to do in Boston food classYou can't argue with me when I tell ya it's getting cold outside. It's that season where we (or at least I know I'm guilty of it) like to bundle up under a blanket, watch tv, and EAT! Don't deny it y'all. Maybe I went a little overboard with today's picture, but I still bet your drinking hot chocolate right now and have warm sugar cookies baking in the oven. Avoid the dreaded winter weight gain and put those cravings to a halt.

The Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) is going to teach us how to keep the flavor, and not keep the fat with “Light Comfort Foods”. On Wednesday, November 7th, 2012 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM, take a quick three hour class and learn how to transform some of your favorite meals into something you won't regret eating. Some foods they will be discussing include chicken pot pie, juicy meatballs and even fried chicken!

Need more info? Well Call Them...Maybe?

$1 Burgers on Mondays at the Avenue in Brighton

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Sun, Sep 30, 2012

the avenue brighton maYes, you heard me loud and clear. Take the Boston College T Line, or take a quick drive down Commonwealth Avenue towards Brighton and you are in for quite the treat. The Avenue is one of Brighton's hot spots, with over 30 beers on draft and amazing burgers you can't go wrong. I took it upon myself to try it out last Monday and I was shockingly impressed. I was expecting one of those rip off burgers that you get when there is a special- ya know the kind that doesn't even have lettuce or tomatos and you could eat in one bite? But not here! The Avenue is not joking around when they make these one dollar burgers. Mine was so big and juicy that I could barely finish it. I will definitely be there tomorrow night so I better see you there! And yes, you can come say hey to me. I don't bite. (unless you dress up like a burger)

Ten Cent Wings Anyone?

365 things to do in boston redhat

Ten Cents Wings!

Yes, I am very aware that your jaw is dropped to the floor right now, but it IS true. Not only are there ten cent wings, but in one of the most happening spots in downtown Boston. Only two blocks from the Park Street green line station on Mondays you will find people lined up out the door of RedHat. What are they doing you may ask... waiting on a table to get some cheap beer and ten cent wings! That's 50 wings for only five bucks! The great part about it is there is no limit or minimum. Order one wing or one hundred- no matter how many they are only ten cents each! Gnarly right? So just wing it this Monday at RedHat. Besides, everybody's doin' it. (ps.. get there by six and avoid the line)

Stalk BBQ Smith and have the best lunch - EVER

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Fri, Aug 24, 2012

things to do in boston barbeque

BBQsmith (bär′bə kyoo̅′smit̸h):

1. an artisan specializing in cooking meat with heat and hot smoke of a fire or smoking wood

2. a food truck in Boston serving tasty smoked meats paired with unique sauces and sides

3. BBQ that is built for the road with loads of flavor but none of the mess.

So basically what i'm getting at is that there is a traveling BBQ van in Boston that is beyond legit. I'm from Alabama originally, so with that being said this stuff better be pretty darn good considering I'm used to the best of the best Southern barbeque. It was so good that I even insisted on taking this picture. So follow them on twitter and facebook and find out when they will be near you next. It is DEEE-LISH!!!

Disclaimer: You will most likely end up stalking this van. Don't say I didn't warn you.
