"Break out your neon, your leg warmers, and your MC Hammer pants--for this one night only Boston Grown-Ups Museum is kickin it old school! Go for gold in our jump rope contest, grab an adult snow cone, and hang out in our outdoor lounge while the DJ spins some throwback hits. 

Get ready to crawl to the top of our three-story Climb, blow a giant bubble, play in our Construction Zone, and rediscover your most playful self? Now is your chance!  It's time to party at Boston Children's Museum...without the children!

On Thursday, June 11th, we're throwing open the doors to Boston Children's Museum to those who are young at heart. Enjoy beer and wine plus tasty treats for purchase. Bring friends and meet new ones as you explore interactive exhibits, attempt to build a "big kid" sized fort, and explore your inner artist in the Art Studio. Stop into our Museum Shop and buy old favorites such as Pop Rocks, Pez dispensers and Gummy Worms.

Whether you were here as a kid or are new to town, Boston "Grown-Ups" Museum will bring out your innate sense of fun!"

Boston Children’s Museum 100th Birthday Party: Free Fun Friday

Boston Children's MuseumOn Friday, August 2nd, come to the Boston Children's Museum to to celebrate their 100th birthday! Make party hates, single birthday songs and venture around the museums three floors of interactive exhibits! 

There will also be various types of performers throughout the day including outside street performers and one of the world class woodwind quintet, Vento Chiaro

The Boston Children’s Museum is participating in the 5th annual Free Fun Fridays program sponsored by the Highland Street Foundation.  

"Free Fun Fridays is a program that includes 60 museums and cultural venues across Massachusetts. Each Friday this summer, there will be six venues open for free. The program begins Friday, June 28th and runs through Friday, August 30th. For the full program schedule and to learn more about Free Fun Fridays, please visit: www.highlandstreet.org. "

Family Fest at the Boston Children's Museum

describe the image"Boston Children’s Museum turns 100 this year and kicks off an action-packed season of centennial celebrations with a Family Fest event on Saturday, April 6th. This unique event is a first for the Museum and will not only provide unforgettable family fun, but also showcase family learning.

Family Fest Co-sponsor, WGBH, will bring their popular characters Curious George, Arthur, Peep, and Buster; award winning celebrity chefs Ming Tsai and Joanne Chang will demonstrate their culinary expertise – and everyone will get to taste; moms and dads can explore parenting concepts with Rick Weissbourd, acclaimed author of The Parents We Mean To Be: How Well-Intentioned Adults Undermine Children's Moral and Emotional Development; and technology and learning with WGBH Digital Producer, Jillian Orr, while their little ones play next door watched by certified care specialists.

In addition to all-day special programming such as world music, drum circles, youth orchestras, and KidStage productions, each and every exhibit in the Museum will offer special programming focused on learning together as a family, and having fun doing it. Many of the researchers who conduct projects at the Museum throughout the year will also be on hand to talk about their research with parents. The popular Art Studio will be transformed into a magical Paper World. Don’t miss this day long event!

Friday $1 Children's Museum Admission.......

The Boston Children's Museum has partnered with Targetto present "Target $1 Friday Nights," every Friday evening from 5-9pm, when families can enjoy the entire museum for $1. For less than a cup of coffee, you can enjoy exhibits such as the New Balance Climb, a 3-story climbing sculpture made of brightly painted curved platforms, rising like a fleet of magic carpets up the glass lobby, or Peep's World, a hands-on, interactive science exhibit. With these and hundreds of other things to do at the museum, it might be the best dollar you ever spent. Fridays, beginning March 1, 5-9 p.m. All ages. $1. The museum is located at 300 Congress St. in The Fort Point Channel section of Boston.
