Craft Beer Tasting to Support SWB Boston

Posted by Susie Callahan on Thu, Mar 26, 2015

March Madness not your thing? Soccer Without Borders Boston is putting a new spin on tournament style brackets with their  blind tasting of regional craft beers. See below for their description:

"The event begins with bracket play, during which you taste and rank beers in three brackets.  Your top-ranked beers from each bracket will move onto the playoffs.  In a series of head-to-head challenges you'll re-taste your top-ranked beers from bracket play and move them through quarterfinal, semifinal and final rounds.  At the end of the night, you'll know your favorite craft beer represented and get to learn everyone else's!  Appetizers, a silent auction and a visit from Slyde the Fox and the New England Revolution Street Team will keep you energized and entertained between tasting rounds.  In the past years, Newburyport's Greenhead IPA and Harpoon's Longthaw IPA have won the most first-place votes from the crowd. Buy your tickets to find out which will be your favorite beer and vote on the top regional craft beer represented."

All proceeds from this event will go towards SWB's after school program for newcomer youth in East Boston.

This event will be held on Friday, March 27 at 8pm at the Cambridge Community Center
