365 things to do in boston chinatown

If you really want to get a taste of some Boston History then you need to head on over to Chinatown! It is an area filled with history located between the South End and Downtown Crossing. IN FACT... it is one of the OLDEST Chinatown areas in the United States! Take that USA! In the late 1800's Chinatown settled on in, and they have been rockin the streets of Boston since.

It has settled into a highly visited place for tourists, but the locals still make their weekly stop for the many things it has to offer: shopping, AWESOME Asian cuisine, and tours. You haven't seen Boston til you've walked the streets of Chinatown.

and.. WATCH OUT FOR THE IMPERIAL FOO DOG!!

nahh... not really, they are just statues, but they are known for "guarding" both sides of the paifang. (Chinatown gate entrance)

"Chinese culture believes that the foo dogs will protect the area, that is why you will find the sculptures throughout the area."

Wicked cool..or whatever, I don't really know what I think of foo dogs. Gotta loooove history.
