Take a swan boat ride through the Boston Public Garden

Posted by Katie Beth Clark on Wed, Jul 25, 2012

A trip to the Back Bay Boston Public Garden just wouldn't be complete without a ride on its ever famous swan boats. These peaceful and romatic boats were established in 1877. They are a family owned and operated business with a unique tradition and special place in the history and beauty of the City of Boston. Children and adults alike will love the ride around the pond. Be sure to bring some old bread or crackers to feed to the ducks and swans that are bound to be following the boat around - nah just kidding! That's not permitted.

Still not convinced? Well hear it from the originators themselves:

"Located in the magnificent Public Garden, a ride on a Swan Boat lasts about 15 minutes and provides you with a peaceful and picturesque voyage on the waters of the lagoon. There are no other Swan Boats of this kind in anywhere in the world.  We are pleased to continue this tradition for all of Boston and for the visitors to our city." -The Paget Family

See ya on the other side folks!
