#29: See the coolest art at the International Poster Gallery

Have a thing for posters or cool design for that matter? Check out "Pioneers of Modernism: Poster Masters of the 20th Century" at the International Poster Gallery.

From Art Nouveau to Art Deco, featuring Victor Moscoso, a Postmodernist artist with amazing use of typography and design, and Frank Newbould, who designed the "Air Mail" poster above, plus other great posters designed in the Swiss and Surrealism styles. We LOVE it! Definitely a show not to be missed....

Besides their rotating exhibitions, IPG also features over 10,000 original vintage posters for sale, from $100 to over $20,000 (yes, for a poster!).  It's a cool collection, with everything from war posters, to food posters, to Soviet design, to modernist, and everything in between.  If you've never been in the shop on Newbury Street, head over and see how posters really can be art.

Located on 205 Newbury Street | Boston, MA  02116.  Hours are 10am-6pm.
