T
he Boston Urban Iditarod will be held on March 1st on Landsdown Street by Fenway. The race is a "loose parody of a famous Alaska dog sled race.
Replace the dogs with people and the sleds with shopping carts, add in team themes, costumes, contests and a food drive and we get the Boston Urban Iditarod."
The food drive donations will go to the Boston Medical Center Food Pantry.
Teams will race over three miles, with the route dependent upon the team. The games and options for donations will be going on during the race.
