Afternoon Tea at the Boston Public Library

Posted by Susie Callahan on Tue, Feb 24, 2015

Sure, we all know about the Boston Public Library, but did you know there's an afternoon tea party held there three days each week? For just $32 per person, enjoy tea sandwiches (think Lobster Salad with Marcona Almond on Pate a Choux and Deviled Chicken & Espelette Pepper), scones and other sweets while sipping teas ranging from Earl Grey to Matcha to White Wedding Tea.

Here's a sample of their tea menu:

Organic Darjeeling
A second-flush Darjeeling from the Seeyok Garden for Darjeeling fans who prefer an organic version.
Matcha
This powdered tea has been the pride of Uji for several centuries. A real eye opener!
Dragon Pearl Jasmine
Beautiful hand-rolled pearls from Fuan, China gently infused with floral essences from Jasmine flowers.

Afternoon tea is served every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2pm-4pm.

These events are hosted by The Catered Affair
